Arthur Lemmens has posted to comp.lang.lisp a short but insightful description of the CLIM command loop and interaction models. Interaction models are also called "command interaction styles" or "interaction styles" in the CLIM literature. The possible styles are:

A CLIM application may provide one or more of these interaction styles.
