McCLIM changes: inspector, X selection

Monday, February 14, 2005

Within the past few days, Peter Scott and Vincent Arkesteijn committed several changes to the McCLIM Lisp inspector. They improved the way class slots, generic functions, conditions and symbols are inspected. The documentation in Apps/Inspector/INSTALL now contains a few more examples, some of which may not work with CMUCL. I'm going to post a report to the McCLIM mailing list.

Christophe Rhodes committed fixes to ICCCM compliance and selection ownership issues in the CLX backend, which are supposed to make text selection work. But I still get an error with CMUCL that I'm also going to report.

Finally, Tim Moore worked on the internals of regions and output recording. If I understand correctly, these are performance improvements.
